Frequently Asked Questions:

If I am interested in a puppy, what are the next steps?
  • After letting me know your interest in one of our puppies, I will send you a copy of our contract to review, or you can review it here. After the contract is reviewed and questions are answered, you can place a deposit on the puppy of interest. Our deposits are non refundable and will go towards the purchase price of the puppy. We only accept deposits on puppies that are already born.
  • After the deposit is placed, I will give you weekly updates on the puppy. We weigh our puppies at 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks for their worming so a weight will be included in those updates.
  • At 4 weeks you are welcome to come and visit your puppy. Please review the visitation policy before visiting.

Do you ship your puppies?

  • We will not ship our puppies. If you are unable to pick up your puppy at our home, we will deliver to you for a fee.

Are you able to tell me the approximate size and weight your puppies will be as adults?

  • Our stud, Kona is 8-9 pounds. Dixie is 10 pounds and Isabella is 13 pounds, so depending on which female is the mother our puppy weights will vary from 8-13 pounds. However, weight and color of your puppy as an adult is not guaranteed.

Will the chocolate fade?

  • Havanese is known is for its color changes. Chances are the color will fade at least some. We have had puppies that stayed dark and others that got light. We do not guarantee the adult color of the puppies. The chocolate sables always tend to get the lightest.

Do you preform health testing on your adults?

  • Absolutely, all of our breeding dogs are fully health tested according to the OFA and their results can be seen on their individual pages.

What all comes with my new puppy?

  • Your new puppy will come with his/her first round of vaccines, AKC paperwork, properly wormed and the worming schedule will be given to you at time of pick up, the puppy will be microchipped, have a collar on and come with a toy, a small amount of the dog food we have the puppy on and lot of reading material.

What dog food do you feed your dogs/puppies

  • We feed our adults "Fromms Small Breed Adult" and our puppies "Fromms Puppy Gold" we will provide you with a small amount of dog food to get you started or to help switch the new puppy to a food of your choice.

Do you socialize your puppies and what methods do you use?

  • All of our puppies undergo "the super puppy program" it was constructed by the US military to help produce stronger dogs mentally, emotionally and the study even goes as far to say physically. Our puppies are also handled and interacted with on a daily basis.

Do you provide a written contract?

  • Yes, it can be found here.

Would my puppy have full or limited registration?

  • All our puppies are sold with limited registration, this means you would not be allowed to breed your puppy and would be required to have him/her spayed/neutered at the appropriate age. If you are inquiring about full registration, please let me know as this is discussed on a case to case basis.

If I can no longer keep my puppy will you take it back?

  • Absolutely, yes- it is in our contract that if you can longer care for or keep your new puppy, you must return him/her to us. You will not get a refund of any kind if it is after 5 days.

Do you offer a health guarantee?

  • Yes, we offer a 2 year health guarantee against genetic defects or diseases, this is outlined in our contract.
